The 196th Omicroid Hydras were a Tempestus Scions Regiment of the Militarum Tempestus.^[1]

In 955.M41 the regiment saved the planet Macharia from the Ork superkrooza Brawla, leading a boarding action and detonating melta charges within the craft's fuel silos.^[1]
