Coleopter
The Coleopter is a type of Aircraft operated by the Imperial Navy.[1b]
Description
Propelled by use of a ring-shaped fuselage that encloses a large spinning fan,[1a] the blunt-nosed[1e] Coleopter can be armed with firebombs,[1a] heavy bolters,[1b] laser weaponry[1d] and nose cupola-mounted heavy stubbers. The heavy stubbers can be guided by cogitator sense engines, reacting to motion by automatically opening fire.[1e] The Coleopter also carries a spotlight[1c] and dimmable running lights, which can be combined with black hull-paint and ground-hugging flying to avoid detection.[1b]
The Coleopter is also capable of hovering[1e] and carrying and landing troops in short order.[1b]
