Ogrys is the ruined homeworld of the Invaders Space Marine Chapter.[1a]
History
Ogrys was reduced to ruins in late M41 after an attack by Craftworld Alaitoc in retaliation for the Invaders' assault on Idharae.[1b]
The planet was once considered to be a safe distance away from The Maelstrom but with the opening of the Great Rift, the planet experienced a increase in frequency of nightmares, hallucinations and the appearances of ghosts and revenants.[2a]
The world later fell subject by a raid of the Red Corsairs who captured and removed a Laskar Class Star Fort[2a] from the system before being driven away by a relief force of Ultramarines.[2b] In truth, the Red Corsairs attack had been a scheme by Huron Blackheart to curb the power of his ambitious warlord Verngar.[2c]
