Styxx is an overcrowded Imperial Hive World.[1]
History
It lies perilously close to the Maelstrom Warp Storm and has a long history of resisting attacks from Pirates, Mutants, Xenos slavers and Chaos Space Marine Warbands. Styxx rulers also make use of its vast population to easily fill their tithe to the Astra Militarum. However these are not mere dregs, as the Hive World takes pride in producing Regiments renowned for their fortitude, aggression and ironclad faith. The Styxx Regiments are commanded by Spire Nobles, who are trained at Ordras Hive's prestigious Aquila Academy, while their ranks are filled with the hard-bitten soldiers from the Hive World's military guilds. Styxx's Regiments have served the Imperium loyally for thousands of years and rarely has there been a blemish upon their record. However one such blemish is the Styxx 777th, which became a Traitor Guard Regiment in M42.[1]
