Verronus is a Hive World of the Imperium.[1b]
History
In the year 249.M40 Verronus, which was once a leading world of the sector and the seat of its power, finally fell to centuries of slow decline and the last power systems supplying the hives gave out. Cults, witches and abominations which had only barely been held in check by the defenders of the Imperium, ran rampant. All that remained of the once proud hive world was now anarchy, famine and a long night of living nightmares.[1b]
In 656.M40 the Hadex Anomaly sprang into being, swallowing Verronus. It is believed the Hadex Anomaly was created by dark rites performed by the warped souls living on the planet.[1c]
