Sample Chaos Rising Piece
In order to deal with multiple endings (we don't know which is canon), I've prepared a potential paragraph for entry. These paragraphs do away with the boring "if then" formula which expresses which of the game's endings come about. If the sysop and general writers approve, I will add it to the article:
During the Black Legion's assault on the Aurelian Sector, Tarkus felt tempted by the dark powers of Chaos out of duty to his chapter, having taken note that the chapter's strength is nearly half of what it should be, and dwindling after every battle. The whispers of Chaos hinted that by aligning himself with the Dark Gods, Tarkus could better protect his chapter by exploiting their power. It is unknown if Tarkus succumbed.

- How can we know that if in one scenario one Marine is the traitor that also the others were tempted by Chaos? --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum 22:37, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
- Theoretically, I believe they were all tempted by Chaos throughout those missions (as indicated by the Corruption meter, with the exception of Davian Thule who is incorruptible). It remains their choices and decisions however, that determine whether or not they join the dark gods. By playing through the game, it reveals what those decisions WOULD be that could cause them to betray their chapter.
- If the reasoning aspect remains unconvincing, then we could simply remark that Tarkus (and the other sergeants) faced the Black Legion and the possibility of corruption during that campaign.--Lygris 00:38, 30 March 2010 (UTC)
