Dominator Class Cruiser

The Dominator class was origonally designed as a support vessel, to use its massive Nova Cannon from behind the battleline of the fleet. However, in this role it never really excelled, only gaining a handful of victories to its name. The class was not much liked by its crews, until the Gothic War. In this war, a Domianator class ship, the Hammer of Justice, found itself in between two chaos cruisers. The Hammer of Justice gave both ships a full broadside, crippling both in a matter of seconds, a new role was found for the Dominator that day. Its short range weapons batterys are extremely potent, able to cripple an enemy ship with only one or two broadsides.

The weaponsbatterys along the Dominators flanks are as powerful as those on a Retribution Class Battleship, they do not however, share the range of the larger ships guns. The ship still retains the Nova Cannon, and uses it to devistating effect whilst closing on the enemy fleet. Once amoungst the enemy's ships, having caused devistation and destruption with the Nova Cannon, the Dominator's weapons batterys roar into life, ripping the enemy apart at brutally close ranges. Almost all Dominators have teleporter attack groups, to finish off any enemy ships not quiet destroyed by the plasma batterys.
