The Pillar of Bone is a relic of the Imperial Fists located on Holy Terra.

History

The Pillar is all that remains of a once great Fortress-Monastery the Imperial Fists kept on Terra which was almost entirely destroyed during the Horus Heresy. Rather than rebuild the Fortress, the Chapter left it in ruins and filled the bolter holes that cover the structure with Scrishawed hands of dead battle-brothers.

Current Use

Today, the Pillar of Bone serves the symbolic function of a battle honor. The Pillar also serves the practical function of a recruitment chapel, ensuring the Terran origins of the Chapter continue to be represented within its ranks, including Captain Lysander.
