Solid Slug Weapons are devices which launch a solid piece of metal or other material at an enemy, rather than some form of energy discharge. They usually have their origins far in the history of the Imperium, perhaps even before it, and are as solid and effective now as they were then. They come in a wide range and forms from high strength to high rate of fire to a basic combat weapon.

Types of Solid Slug Weapons

Heavy Stubber

The Heavy Stubber is commonly mounted on vehicles as a Pintle Weapon.

Ripper Gun

The Ripper Gun is used by Ogryns both as a ranged and a combat weapon.

Shotgun

The Shotgun is an ancient design for a basic weapon which is used mainly on Imperial Navy ships to prevent damaging the ship too much when invaders engage in combat with the defenders of the ship.

Sniper Rifle

Sniper Rifles are high tech weapons designed to deliver a fatal blow in one shot with supreme accuracy.

Assault Cannon

The Assault Cannon is a brute of a weapon, boasting a massive rate of fire with decent strength. It is often mounted on vehicles or as part of Terminator Armour.

Mortar

The Mortar is one of the most ancient devices still in use by the Imperium, and utilises an explosive slug propelled far into the enemy lines whilst being high enough to scale walls.

Heavy Mortar

Main article: Heavy Mortar
The Heavy Mortar is a larger version of the mortar and is mounted only on the Griffon Mortar.

Auto Weapons

Main article: Auto Weapons
Auto Weapons use solid slugs instead of laser beams, but are gradually being phased out and replaced by standard Las Weapons.
