Overview

The Armageddon Steel Legion reside on Armageddon, a Hive World. The planet is covered in vast wastelands broken up by hives, huge arcologies stretching miles into the sky.

True to its name, Armageddon has been the site of three massive battles in the history of the Imperium, most recently a pair of invasions by the Ork warboss Ghazghkull Thraka. As a result, the armies of Armageddon are very skilled in fighting Orks.

Armageddon produces many armored fighting vehicles for the Imperium, such as Chimera APCs. As such, the Armageddon Steel Legions are primarily Mechanized Infantry. This allowed them to strike rapid and devistating assaults in which the Chimeras ran over the enemy lines before the guardsmen disembarked. Also, they are often helped by conscript platoons due to their fighting near to the hives. The mechanized regiments of the Steel legion are extremely mobile and can be shifted within shortest time to the front or to support a threatened front section.

Battle Style

The Steel Legions specialise in Motorised assaults and war in depth, bypassing enemy strongholds in an effort to reach the enemies rear. What is often refered to as Blitzkrieg
