The Space Wolves Blood Claw packs often fulfill the role of Assault Squads that other chapters use. They charge at the enemy, usually so headstrong, that they would happily charge a Dreadnought, whilst not having anything that can even damage it.
The Blood Claw packs are often larger than standard Space Marine squads, and are often made of three claws each claw is about five strong and the pack up to 15 members strong. Casualties take their toll, and their numbers reduce quickly. This method of selection causes those who were too weak, slow, or just plain unlucky, not to become Grey Hunters. Also, the training received fighting real enemies is considered far superior to that of training dummies and sparing partners by the Space Wolves.
Blood Claws recieve a year long basic training that trains them in the use and skill they will need for weapons and combat,the genetic enhancements make a Blood Claw more than a match for most enemies even though a blood claw is inexperianced. The Blood Claws are armed with Chainswords and Bolt Pistols normally, and armoured in Power Armour. Blood Claws also form the chapters Jump Pack troops and Bike Squadrons. They may also be used to pilot Land Speeder Squadrons. Only Blood Claws use jump packs in the Space Wolves army, they are too 'short in the fang' to know any better.
