Andy Chambers, once "Studio Photoboy" now game developer, is one of the most influential members of the Warhammer 40,000 staff at Games Workshop.

Background

Andy Chambers, like all other Warhammer players, wanted to be "an evil warlord."1 In order to supplement this desire, he started war gaming. While war gaming, he developed his ability to write rules for how to work out combat. Then, he became fascinated with SELWG Middle Earth game and developed fondness of Orcs/Orks.

After leaving college, Andy became involved with the Adeptus Titanicus game and started submitting to White Dwarf in the late 80s. This lead to him becoming the photographer and eventually working his way up into the development staff. While he is no longer a part of Games Workshop as he once was (his time was spent helping Mongoose games create rules for their Starship Troopers line and helping to create Starcraft II), his impact on Games Workshop cannot be questioned.
