During the Sabbat Worlds Crusade, a Chaos splinter fleet evaded an Imperial Navy blockade and attacked the Tanith System, razing Tanith and destroying it.[1]

- Tanith - Dead World. Formerly a Forest World. Homeworld of the Tanith First Imperial Guard Regiment - now known after Tanith's destruction as the Tanith First and Only, or "Gaunt's Ghosts".[1]
