Devourer
Devourers are a Tyranid Bio-weapon.
In 4th Edition Devourers are formed of a conical lump of flesh filled with worm-like organism, with shiny black heads, which are launched at the enemy and burrow into their body, consuming their nervous system and brain and driving the victim insane.1-p30
In 2nd Edition Devourers were one of the most horrific weapons available to the Tyranids. It looks like a cone of flesh coming out of the jaws of another creature. The flesh is infested with worms-like creatures with shiny black heads, known as fleshworms. A bio-electrical shock launches hundreds of these worms towards the enemy and they will either shatter against the target and spread acid and poison over it or pierce the armour and burrow into the body of the target. The agony caused drives the victim insane and the worms devour its nervous system until they eventually devour its brain.2-p56
