Imperialis Provost
Imperialis Provosts[1a], also known as Provost Imperialis,[1b] were members of the Imperial Army, who enforced the dictates of the Imperium's Lex Imperialis and protected material assets gathered for the Imperial Tithe.[1a]
Description
They were known for their brutality and dedication, but they appeared in various forms. Some Provosts were deployed in entire cadres, while others were in Scout Rover pursuit squadrons or were retired Imperialis Auxilia troopers, who directed local volunteers. If need be, the Provosts could even deputize gang enforcers, in service of protecting the Imperial Tithe. The Provosts' attributes of dedication and brutality also made them appealing footsoliders for the Imperial Army, when Imperialis Militia hosts were mustered.[1a]
