Fingwit
Fingwit is one of the fortunate Gretchin, who over the years, has taken up the mantle of the legendary Da Red Gobbo.[1]
Da Gobbo's Revenge
Fingwit was a member of Da Fingers, a team of Grotz serving under the Evil Sunz Mek Klaws. Despite his technical expertise, Klaws was held back by the fact that he'd blown off both his hands with a Kustom Mega-Blasta and had them replaced by two Power Klaws, thus his team of six Grotz was invaluable to him for performing all the necessary workshop tasks a Mek would require.[2a]
When the team participated in a boarding action against a great Imperial ship, Fingwit found himself taking charge after Klaws became incapacitated and unable to complete his pivotal mission to seize the ship's heavy guns and turn them on her Imperial allies.[2b]
Fingwit's newfound independence was both exhilarating and petrifying. When forced to choose between making a bid for freedom and continuing the mission, he reluctantly opted for the latter, fearing the brutal punishment from Da Meklord should the team fail.[2b]
Despite suffering constant bickering and a shortlived insurrection, Fingwit led the team towards the objective, mostly intact, before they were reprimanded and commandeered by one of the few surviving Orks, who would not believe that a bunch of Grotz would be assigned such an important mission.[2c]
Armed with his own shoota, a newfound sense of confidence and appetite for destruction, Fingwit disobeyed the Ork and escaped the hail of slugga rounds that served as his punishment. Now alone, Fingwit reflected on a Grot's role in the brutal tyranny of Ork society. Seeing his red-tinged reflection in a pool of blood, he knew what he must do, who he must become.[2d]
Having rescued his comrades from the foolish Ork, Da Red Gobbo led Da Fingers onwards, not to the gun deck but to the bridge. Following a short firefight, Da Fingers seized control of the great ship, renaming her Da Gobbo's Revenge. While the prospect of riding off into the proverbial sunset tempted the Grotz, Da Gobbo knew that there were too many of his kind throughout the Galaxy that still needed to be emancipated. He determined that the best thing he could do in the present situation was to perform an astonishing feat of destruction on the Orks' enemies to show what a mob of puny Grotz can do.[2e]
Da Gobbo's Revenge engaged her engines and her weapon systems in one last historic blaze of glory before the tragic heroes were stolen back to a life of slavish drudgery.[2f]
