Blacksun Filter^[3]

The Blacksun Filter is an advanced Tau optical filter that allows the user not only to see at much greater distances when fighting in nighttime conditions^[1a] but also filters bright flares of light that could blind them.^[2] In addition to being mounted in Tau Vehicles and Battlesuits, Blacksun Filters can also come in the form of hard-wired wargear.^[1b]
