Icarus Stormcannon Array[2]

The Icarus Stormcannon Array is an anti-aircraft platform used by Space Marines.[1]

Overview

The Icarus Stormcannon Array replaced the Daedalus Stormcannon, which was in use during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy.[5] Made up of two independently traversing turrets of triple-barrelled cannons and a large radar dish, the Icarus can track and fire at two separate aerial targets simultaneously. The cannons have a high rate of fire and can launch hundreds of solid rounds into the sky,[1][2] thanks to its large ammunition storage. The Icarus Stormcannon is slaved to a cogitator array, consisting of several linked mono-task servitors.[4]

The Icarus Stormcannon Array can be used as a stationary anti-aircraft installation by itself.[4] However, they are typically found mounted on Stalker air defence vehicles.[1] In addition, the Icarus Stormcannon is one of the main weapons of the Stormhawk Interceptor.[3]
