Low Orbit Carrier
The Low Orbit Carrier is a type of specialised low-orbit vessel used by the Astra Militarum to deploy infantry to a planetary surface.[1]
Description
Hovering 50,000 feet above the ground, the Low Orbit Carrier is equipped with a massive anti-grav generator projecting a cone directly to the surface. Guardsmen can now step into this grav-cone and deploy to the ground at speed without requiring a grav-chute or sustaining injuries. Extremely rare, the Low Orbit Carrier is also extremely vulnerable during operations, requiring precise station-holding to keep the grave-cone from swinging widely and letting guardsmen plunge to their death.[1]
