Fyf
Fyf (Five in Fenrisian[1a]), known as the Blood-Ice Storm[2], was the 5th Great Company of the Space Wolves Space Marine Legion during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy.[1a]
History
The Great Company was described as being particularly aggressive in war but pure of purpose and calm outside it.[1a] Fyf had a specialty in mixed roles and light armour support.[2] Under the purview of senior Rune Priest Othere Wyrdmake, Fyf fought alongside Thousand Sons Legion over the course of the Great Crusade's Aghoru[1b] and Ark Reach Cluster[1c] campaigns, but later condemned them as warlocks during the Council of Nikaea.[1d]
Upon the outbreak of the Horus Heresy, Fyf deployed the most personnel in the Burning of Prospero than any other Great Company.[2] However during the battle, Othere Wyrdmake was killed by Ahriman and Fyf took heavy casualties.[1e] They fought directly under Leman Russ in the subsequent Battle of Trisolian[3] and Battle of Yarant.[4]
