The Atlantian Spears are a Blood Angels Successor Chapter.[1]

Overview

The Atlantian Spears have little engagement with others of the Blood.[5]

The Chapter is known to have a large Librarius and an unusual number of their Librarians have the gift of foresight to call upon. For millennia, the Atlantian Spears have relied upon these powers, as they fought to pacify Segmentum Tempestus's vast Enclave of Alkina and Sanctuary of Konstantyah. The Spears are so focused on battling the innumerable xenos and heretic threats in those regions, that they chose to ignore the Blood Angels' plea for aid, prior to the Devastation of Baal.[1]

However, the Atlantian Spears later took part in the Indomitus Crusade, where they fought the Necrons in the Argovon Campaign[2], and also contributed a significant portion of their forces to the Octarius War.[4]

Known Battles

Heraldry

The Atlantian Spears wear teal blue power armour, with gold pauldron trim and imperialis. The Chapter's symbol is a black trident on teal.[1][4b]

A Marine's rank in this Chapter is denoted by their helmet colour: gold for battle-brothers and Sergeant, black for veterans, black with a gold stripe for Veteran Sergeants and gold with a black stripe for Lieutenants. Sergeants and Lieutenants also have a skull icon on their helmets.[4b]

The Atlantian Spears show company and squad affiliation using the same system as the Blood Angels.[1]

Culture

The Chapter teaches its Battle Brothers to not give into battle lust and to maintain their path on what the Atlantian Spears call the "narrow road". Those who follow it, by keeping a clear head and preventing their battle lust from overwhelming them, will ensure that they are not claimed by their gene-seed's curses. Those who do fall to the Red Thirst or Black Rage, and are unable to retain their self-control, will have shamed themselves in the eyes of their Battle Brothers.[3]
