Blades of Khaine
The Blades of Khaine are Asuryani Kill Team Units, which draw their members from various Aspect Warrior shrines.[1a]
Description
The name of those kill teams originates from an Aeldari Legend, in which the God Vaul was expected to produce one hundred magnificent blades for Khaine in exchange for the release of Kurnous and Isha from captivity, but failed to produce one blade, provoking the War in Heaven.[1a]
Blades of Khaine are assembled by a Farseer, who may experience visions of a strand of fate that needs to be dealt with, in order to prevent a terrible future for the Eldar race.[1a]
Only the Striking Scorpions, Howling Banshees and Dire Avengers aspect warriors shrines are allowed to form a Blades of Khaine team, while other aspects shrines are prohibited from it by ancient writ.[1a]
