Catachan II

The Catachan II, nicknamed the "Green Vipers", is a celebrated regiment of the Catachan Jungle Fighters of the Imperial Guard. Its current commanding officer is Colonel "Iron Hand" Straken.^[1a][1b][4]

Overview

The Catachan II is made up of many specialized veteran squads, known as Catachan Devil Squads, equivalent to the elite Stormtroopers of the Militarum Tempestus that are called in to aid other regiments.^[2] It is currently being reconstituted to take part in the Indomitus Crusade under the command of the famed Colonel Straken.^[6]

The regiment is made up of at least 27 companies.^[6] Gunnery Sergeant Harker leads one of the Catachan II's Devil Squads, named Harker's Hellraisers.^[4]

The regiment's Training Corps is nicknamed "The Devils" as of 926.M41.^[7]
