Contra-empyric beams are amongst the most formidable weapons used by the Necron Fleet.[1]
Equipped to larger vessels such as Pylon Ships or Tomb Ships, the Contra-empyric beam is a whip-like wave of null energy identical to those found in Necron Pylons, but highly focused. If hit, a ship's Void Shields will shut down and the crew on board will be either outright killed or rendered catatonic as their very souls are corroded. The beam ignores any and all physical barriers or shielding.[1]
