Acolyte Iconward with Sacred Cult Banner[1b]
Sacred Cult Banners or Cult Icons[1c] are a the standards used by Genestealer Cults.[1a]
These profane banners, etched with the symbols of the Cult and wyrm-forms, Are eerily similar to one another regardless of what world they are found on. Many have adaptations and interpretations depending on the world, and each Cult uses its own variant insignia. However all will invariably display the long-bodied creature central to the Cult's beliefs. The fact that each Cult icon is so similar, regardless of where they are encountered, is deeply unsettling in itself.[1c]
Cult Icons are typically unfurled in the final phase of a Cult uprising. They are usually carried by Acolyte Iconwards and are of great importance to the Cult.[1a]
