The Cytheron Pattern Aegis were relic force fields, that were among the most esoteric equipment possessed by the Dark Angels Legion, during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy.[1]
The devices were a creation of the long lost Mercury city Cytheron, and were based upon the power fields that once held at bay the ferocity of Sol itself. They were available to the Deathwing Companions to use and could be activated to protect the individual wearing one or those nearby them.[1]
