Godshaker Type-238 tactical atomic bomb
The Godshaker Type-238 tactical atomic bomb[1c] is a small atomic bomb[1b] deployed by the Militarum Tempestus.[1a]
Description
The Godshaker Type-238 is equipped with a three-kilo warhead.[1a] It is housed in a black casket[1c] and is man-portable, easily carried in a backpack.[1b] Even though the Godshaker can be remotely detonated, it can also, if necessary, be manually armed.[1d]
A Godshaker's surface deployment usually needs to be authorised by the local Imperial Governor or planetary congress, but in case of unavailability, approval can also be given by the senior ground forces commander.[1a]
When placed in the engine department and linked to the power system of a descending Devourer Dropship, the Godshaker is capable of reducing the craft to plummeting, smoking remains upon detonation. At a distance of around six miles from the point of explosion, its blast wave is strong enough to shatter all the windows of a two-mile high Orbital Tether from the mid-section up to the very top and also detach several landing tethers at the top of the Spire from their moorings, making them fall to the ground.[1d]
