Great Malagantine Purge
The Great Malagantine Purge was carried out from 770-791.M38 by five Space Marine Chapters known as the Manus Irae.[1]
The specific details of the twenty-one year campaign to cleanse the heretical Malagant Sector were hidden, even from the Inquisition, in the Celarno Vaults on Terra. The only information known is the command of the High Lords to "Spare none and set a bloody, fearful example to the realm of Mankind" and that hundreds of billions perished. It is also known that the formerly fleet-based Fire Hawks received the feudal world Cousteau XI as a new homeworld as a reward for their actions.[1]
