The Voidbane Generator, also known by its official name of Hades-Pattern Rotating Gravimetric Harmonic Disruption Device, is a device used by the Inquisition to shut down Gellar Fields.[1]

Description

The Voidbane Generator uses gravimetric and sound wave transmissions to overload and disrupt Gellar Fields of voidship scale, allowing the Warp to intrude onto the vessel. The device is easily hidden and can effectively function from anywhere inside a voidship. To prevent detection by an auspex, the generator constantly switches frequency. It can be set to activate itself the moment a voidship enters the Warp, needing only an hour to achieve full functionality.[1]

The Voidbane Generator had been rediscovered during the Malygrisian Heresy, but, being far too destructive to be left in the wrong hands, it has been effectively banned by the Inquisition by the Heresy's End. Now only the Inquisition itself can authorise its deployment, though even this institution is unsure of how many generators were created in total or how many of those can even be found in the Calixis Sector.[1]
