The Dispute of Iron

(Redirected from Iron Warriors Civil War)

The Dispute of Iron occurred from 600.M34 to 730.M34, when a vast civil war erupted on the Daemon World Medrengard amongst the Iron Warriors and rapidly spread to their other domains.[1]

History

During the conflict, ancient pacts of fealty and alliance were called upon by the Iron Warriors and scores of Chaos Space Marine Warbands, Chaos Cults and Traitor Titan Legions were drawn into the maelstrom of relentless battle. This bitter feud is accredited with the creation of several sub-factions of the Iron Warriors that are still active to this day, such as the Steel Brethren. Others, such as the Shattered Tower, were utterly destroyed instead. As abruptly as it began, however, the Dispute of Iron suddenly ended. This lead some to believe that the conflict had been carried out according to the Daemon Primarch Perturabo's design, in order to weed out the weak and the unworthy from his scions.[1]
