Leontios Nikel Theodoso Galba

Leontios Nikel Theodoso Galba is an Adeptus Custodes Prefect of the Solar Watch.[1]

History

Leontios Nikel Theodoso Galba[1]

After joining the Shield Host, Galba's first mission had him stand watch over the Icesteel Citadel of Umbriel. He then spent 23 years aboard the Halys Magna, where Galba eliminated 800 infiltrators. 12 years were then spent watching over the Larissan Beacon, where Galba showed his watchfulness and patience was unyielding. A century was then spent sweeping the Halo Belt, uncovering weakness, discovering treachery and making the Emperor's gaze felt upon the traitors who hid within the Belt's darkness.[1]

When Galba turned 200 years old, he took part in the Custodes' Blood Games, which he won after 3 years. This allowed him to take on the title of Shieldsmith, but the truest prize was strengthening Terra's defences. Afterwards, Galba undertook his first Talon Sortie with the Solar Watch against the Word Bearers, whose rituals threatened Terra. Under the command of Shield-Captain Solomon Julianus Pertinax, the Solar Watch were victorious and ended their threat. During the course of the battle, Galba killed many of Lorgar's foul sons and shattered many of their hideous Chaos Icons as well. His second Talon Sortie was against Craftworld Eldar, while under the command of Shield-Captain Gordian Hestilion. With the aid of the Sisters of Silence, the Solar Watch's forces put an end to the Xenos' schemes against Terra. During the course of the battle, Galba was noted for killing many of the Eldar's Psykers, who were weakened by the Sisters' presence.[1]

His third Talon Sortie was against the Necrons, while under the command of Shield-Captain Tacitus Karinus. There they launched a teleportation strike against an awakening Necron Tomb World and ensured that none of the Xenos reached its surface. For his many victories, centuries of service, diligence and honour, Galba was later made a Custodian Prefect. The Custodian who then put Galba's deeds to record, hoped that those that served the Solar Watch would follow the Prefect's example. He also aspired to serve the Shield Host with the same selflessness, skill and courage, that Galba displayed.[1]
