Ozymandian Basin
The Ozymandian Basin is a region of the planet Kalidar IV which lies somewhere between Hive Modulus and Hive Meradon. One edge of the basin abuts the Penumbric Badlands.[1]
Overview
The Ozymandian Basin is believed to be an impact crater that formed millions of years ago when a rocky body collided with Kalidar's surface.[1]
The basin contains large, dense deposits of lorelei. Due to the lorelei's pychoactive nature, travellers within the Ozymandian Basin may experience strange dreams or vividly recall old memories. In parts of the basin, the concentration of lorelei is enough to cause hallucinations.[1]
The Imperial authorities on Kalidar IV have made a number of attempts to mine the deposits in the Ozymandian Basin. At one point an entire hive city was constructed for the express purpose of exploiting the basin's reserves. However, every one of these ventures has failed; even the hive was abandoned due to the deleterious effects of the lorelei.[1]
