Richter (Macharian Crusade)
Richter, dubbed the Arch-Nemesis, was a traitorous General of the Imperial Guard in early M41.[1a]
A protege of the famed Lord Solar Macharius, Richter went rogue during the Macharian Crusade, converted to Nurgle[1b], and created his own private empire on the world of Loki. Under Richter's control, Loki was transformed into a plague-ridden hell world.[1b] Macharius' forces responded with an invasion, resulting in a bitter war of attrition.[1a]
After the end of the protracted struggle, Imperial forces successfully stormed Richter's Niflgard Citadel. There, the traitorous general was confronted by Inquisitor Hyronimus Drake and Logan Grimnar, who killed him after discovering he had degenerated into a "corpse-thing".[1c]
