Bryce Griffith is the High King of House Griffith.[1]

Biography
Those who rule the Knights of House Griffith bear the honorific of Grand Master of the Lance, a title Bryce has proven worthy of many times over. The House is unusual in that its High King is not marked out by the traditional band upon his carapace, but Bryce’s personal heraldry is instantly recognizable to all of Griffith's Knights regardless.[1]
As has been the tradition upon House Griffith's Homeworld, Dragon's End, for centuries, only a Knight who has slain an enemy High King can bear a red blade, gauntlet or lance. Exactly what qualifies a foe as a High King is a matter of conjecture amongst Griffith's Nobles. All agree, however, that Byrce earned the honour fairly when he carved Warboss Grazzgha’s Gargant to pieces, and again when he felled a Lord of Skulls with his Thermal Cannon.[1]
Sacristan Guard
Bryce has his own personal Household Guard known as the Sacristan Guard, who wear House Griffith's colours of blue and red. Recently a Kill Team Unit of Skitarii Rangers was given to Bryce as a gift, from a Tech Priest of Forge World Incaladion and the High King has integrated them into his Guard. Among the Skitarii are Delta-3 Clavion, Delta-3 Haric, Delta-3 Jaxos and the Kill Team's leader, Delta-3 Tominus. Bryce does not realise, however, that the Tech Priest had an ulterior reason for doing so; while their master has commanded the Skitarii to watch over Griffith's Knights in battle, they are also charged with claiming any of the House's unattended technology for their Forge World.[2]
