Servo-harness (Tech-priest)
| This article is about the Tech-Priest servo-harnesses; for the Techmarine servo-harnesses, see Servo-harness (Techmarine). |
Servo harnesses are large backpack-like cybernetic hub and power source onto which an array of different pieces of equipment or mechanical limbs. These harnesses are adaptable in that their attachments can be removed and replaced as needed and up to four different tools can be attached simultaneously.[1]
Servo harnesses allow for Tech-Priests to find a middle ground option in their tools. Those without the capacity for additional augmetics or wish to retain a versatile toolkit will find these ideal. For example, some Tech-Priests may opt to design their servo harnesses for zero gravity work, adding small thrusters to equipment slots or a second set of limbs functioning akin to mag boots. while other bulkier tools make take up multiple slots, possibly requiring addition power supplies to be attached. If a servo harness's power supply is damaged, all attachment will cease functioning.[1]
There are numerous potential tool attachments. Some examples include:[1]
- Auto-Quill[1]
- Combi-tool[1]
- Grapnel Launcher[1]
- Lascutter[1]
- Laud Hailer[1]
- Multikey[1]
- Pict recorder[1]
- Signal Jammer[1]
- Mechadendrite[1]
- Various weapons (both ranged and melee)[1]
- Servo-Arm[1]
- Manoeuvering Thrusters[1]
Other Servo-harnesses
Servo-harnesses are articulated armature cages, that are used by Adeptus Mechanicus Tech-priests. They are employed for maintenance of substantial Machine Spirits, like those in Super-Heavy Tanks, or for arduous rites in Plasma Reactors.[2]
