Shield Generator^[4]

Tau Shield Generators are used to generate a small forcefield which is useful for defending against attacks that would normally bypass normal armour and affect the wearer directly.^[1] They come in various sizes and purposes, including both as battlesuit support system^[2] and as a large building sized shield generator.^[5] These shields are strong enough to absorb a small number of lascannon shots.^[3] The field generated by the battlesuit versions encompasses the user completely.^[2]
