The Malefactors are a Chaos Space Marine warband. Originally known as the Sigilites, they were among the thirty Chapters corrupted during the Abyssal Crusade.[1]
Known Actions
- 959.M36 — The Malefactors descended upon Alaric Prime, intent on seizing as many Imperial Knights as they could for their own burgeoning warband. The Freeblade Knight Gerantius led the defence of Sacred Mountain before hunting down and destroying enough of the invaders to drive the rest off-planet.[2]
Trivia
Conflicting sources
- The only known action of the Malefactors happened in 959.M36[2], while the Abyssal Crusade itself happened in 321.M37[1], 362 years before the events that turned them to chaos. This may merely be an error, or it may denote either a temporal anomaly or the existence of multiple warbands called "The Malefactors".
