St. Jowen's Dock is a world of the Imperium and the sixth planet of the Armageddon System.[1][2b] It is most notable for being the Imperial Navy HQ for the entire Armageddon Sector.[1][2a]
Overview
Although the planet already possessed some naval capability, it was only designated the site of Sector Naval command following the Second War for Armageddon; in the aftermath of that war the Adeptus Terra ordered that the defences of the Armageddon System be rebuilt and reinforced, which included extensive refurbishment and upgrades to St. Jowen's Dock.[2a]
In addition to serving as the main base for Battlefleet Armageddon, the planet hosts various Imperial Navy facilities, including extensive repair yards which are built into the side of a massive canyon and a training academy. The planet also possesses the best orbital defences of any world the system, including orbital mines, weapons platforms and manned Imperial Space Stations.[1]
Outside of these facilities, the planet is uninhabitable, as it lacks any atmosphere or water.[1]
