Hive Temenos
Hive Temenos is a hive on the planet Necromunda.It is part of the Palatine Cluster.[1]
Architecturally impressive, the hive features a labyrinth of religious spaces with stained light, incense, and chanting filling the air. Statues and holograms of the Emperor are found in shrines, and from this hive, confessors and missionaries are sent across Necromunda and nearby frontier worlds.[1]
Overview
Hive Temenos is primarily known for its peoples' faith and devotion to the Imperial Creed[2], with many Clan Houses producing ritual items for the Ecclesiarchy or working in the scriptorium.[1]
One of the hive's spires serves as the headquarters of the Ecclesiarchy on the planet, another houses the Temple of the Emperor Deified, and other spires contain colleges, libraries, and chapels. A priory of the Adepta Sororitas, known as the Sisters Tower, is also located in one of the outer spires.[1]
Temenos is a hotbed of activity for House Cawdor, with the House having influence over local Ministorum affairs and hence a large portion of the hive's population itself. However, a number of the other Clan Houses and other factions are also active in the hive - notably a group of House Escher known as the Penitent Blade.[2]
