"'Ere we go, 'Ere we go, 'Ere we go"

– repeated sound often installed by Mekaniaks[1]

Tinboyz are a type of Robot created and used by Ork Mekaniaks, designed to look like metallic versions of living beings.[1]

Overview

Tinboyz[1]

Ork Mekboyz design their Robots to take the form of living creatures,[3] often with exaggerated features and gawky mocking movements (which the Orks think is a raucous joke), taking the form of Space Marines, Eldar or Squats. To Orks, such acts are highly amusing and they enjoy creating such clever parodies of their enemies.[1]

Tinboyz are designed and built by Ork Mekaniaks and vary a great deal depending on the whims of their creator, but their simplistic inner components follow a standard pattern and all are worked by radio control, rather than complex programming, so Mekaniaks operate their own Tinboyz in battle with control boxes festooned with switches, levers, and flashing lights (and thus must stand within transmission range to give their commands).[3] This limited form of control tends to result in these Robots all following a standardized manner on the battlefield.[1]
