Wyrdfast was a power axe wielded by Haldor Twinfang of the Space Wolves.[1b]
History
The blade was originally known as Urthand ("hate-forged"). Under this name, the axe was wielded by Alajos, Master of the 9th Order of the Dark Angels Legion for half a century until the Dulan Campaign.[1a]
It was taken from him by Leman Russ in his duel with Lion El'Jonson after Alajos prevented Russ from recovering his fallen chainsword Krakenmaw.[1a] Thereafter it was named Wyrdfast ("fate-caught") and was later given to Haldor Twinfang by the Wolf Priest Brannak.[1b]
