Volkite Charger
From Warhammer 40k - Lexicanum
(Redirected from Volkite charger)
The Volkite Charger is a type of Volkite Weapon that was used during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy by the Legiones Astartes and Mechanicum.
Whilst not benefiting from the range or power of its larger cousins, the charger retains the volkite beam's deflagrating effects and allows its wielder a greater degree of movement. Volkite chargers are often employed by Legion Tactical Support Squads.[1]
Known Patterns
- Mars-Omega Pattern: The Mars-Omega pattern Volkite Charger was the most common pattern seen in use by the Legiones Astartes.[2][3][4] During the early Great Crusade, it was standard issue among Legions such as the Salamanders.[4]
Famous Volkite Chargers
- Firebrand - A master-crafted volkite charger which Fulgrim carried with him into battle, when the mood suited him.[5]
