Allegedly, he had ancient and powerful patrons, traitors to the [[Imperium of Man|Imperium]] of the most hateful sort. Be that as it may, his so-called "Wolfpack" posed a threat considerable enough to be of great concern to some officers of [[Battlefleet Koronus]]. His forces once managed to blast their way past [[Footfall]], and even the esteemed [[Rogue Trader]] [[Calligos Winterscale]] was unable to match them in combat.{{Fn|1a}}
