Karrad Vall, sometimes referred to as the Faceless Lord, was a notorious pirate leader whose fleet prowled the Koronus Expanse.[1a]
Known to be a cunning, ruthless, and skilled commander, Vall built the might of his fleet by subjugating many independent pirate warbands. His crews consisted of renegades, madmen, and mutants. Allegedly, he had ancient and powerful patrons, traitors to the Imperium of the most hateful sort. Be that as it may, his so-called "Wolfpack" posed a threat considerable enough to be of great concern to some officers of Battlefleet Koronus. His forces once managed to blast their way past Footfall, and even the esteemed Rogue Trader Calligos Winterscale was unable to match them in combat.[1a]

- Excrucian - Devastation-class cruiser, a part of Karrad Vall's honour guard, an unscathed veteran of over a dozen engagements, boasting exceptionally well-trained crew[1b]
- Dark Lancer - Idolator-class raider, captained by Faydra Nadeyse[2b]
