The '''Battle of Hellabore''' (also known as the '''Hellabore Assault'''{{Fn|2}}) was fought in 867.[[M41]] between the [[Eldar]] and the [[Imperium]].{{Fn|1}}{{Fn|2}}

The conflict began when [[Craftworld]] [[Iyanden]] slaughtered the planetary council of the world of [[Hellabore]] before the seeds of damnation within their souls could manifest, something their [[Farseer]]s had foreseen.{{Fn|1}} However, ignorant of the true meaning of the attack, the Imperium retaliated{{Fn|1}} by deploying the [[Crimson Fists]] [[4th Company (Crimson Fists)|4th Company]] under [[Space Marine Captain|Captain]] [[Cortez]].{{Fn|2}} Most of Iyanden's forces had already departed by the time the [[Astartes]] arrived, but it fell to a small host of [[Ghost Warrior]]s led by the [[Wraithlord]] [[Toralven Gravesong]] to hold the Crimson Fists back from the world's [[Webway Nexus]] while the last living Eldar made their escape. Their sacrifices were mourned by Iyanden ever after.{{Fn|1}}
