Battle of Hellabore
The Battle of Hellabore (also known as the Hellabore Assault[2]) was fought in 867.M41 between the Eldar and the Imperium.[1][2]
The conflict began when Craftworld Iyanden slaughtered the planetary council of the world of Hellabore before the seeds of damnation within their souls could manifest, something their Farseers had foreseen.[1] However, ignorant of the true meaning of the attack, the Imperium retaliated[1] by deploying the Crimson Fists 4th Company under Captain Cortez.[2] Most of Iyanden's forces had already departed by the time the Astartes arrived, but it fell to a small host of Ghost Warriors led by the Wraithlord Toralven Gravesong to hold the Crimson Fists back from the world's Webway Nexus while the last living Eldar made their escape. Their sacrifices were mourned by Iyanden ever after.[1]
