A '''Skyhammer Orbital Strike Force''' is a battle configuration used by the [[Adeptus Astartes]] in [[Space Marine Company|company]]-level engagements.  These formations make use of [[Drop pods]], typically with three squads being deployed, though anything from a whole company to the entire [[Chapter]] are capable of participating in the assault.  Normally, these Strike Elements deploy between fifteen and thirty Space Marines into combat engagements.  Such forces are more than capable of eliminating a portion of the enemy ground defences or decapitating the enemy command structure or even securing a landing zone for a follow-up assault from [[Thunderhawk]] Gunships along with more conventional landers.{{Fn|1}}
