Eventually rising to commander of the 27th Company, Var Jahan was one of only three surviving Kyroptera Captains after the disastrous Dark Angels ambush during the Thramas Crusade. During the arguments over what should be done following Curze's wounding at the hands of Lion El'Jonson, First Captain Jago Sevatarion and his Atramentar killed fellow Captains Malithos Kuln and Cel Herec.
