Baranov was an Imperial Guard Sergeant, who was died during the Chaos insurrection of Sepus Prime.[1]

History

By the end of the Chaos insurrection of Sepus Prime, Sergeant Baranov was stationed at his regiment's barracks, along with a few hundred troops who were in no state to retake the planet.[1]

Baranov's troops intercepted a message from Commander Ortegal redesignating Sepus Prime as Contaminated and unsafe for human habitation due to reports of a plague of mutations linked to the heresy of the insurrectionists.
