Overview
A Conscript is one of the most basic infantry unit available and have very little training and use only the most basic equipment.1-p45
Background
Conscripts represent forcibly conscripted men, Penal Legion troops, Whiteshield cadets and otherwise ill-trained troops. They form squads massed together as a single platoon, and are useful mainly for their numbers.1-p58, 2-p39
Combat Use
A Conscript Infantry Platoon consists of two to five squads of Conscripts wearing Flak Armour. They have no formal command structure and fight as a mass of warriors unlike Infantry Platoons. A squad is made up of ten conscripts with Lasguns. One conscript per squad may be armed with a Flamer or Grenade Launcher, two conscripts per squad may form a heavy weapon team with Heavy Bolter, Missile Launcher or Autocannon.1-p45
Famous Regiments
